Used Oil Filter Removal

Our Process: Energy Recovery
Once your materials reach the facility, the loads are sorted. The non-metals are processed to remove oil and liquids, and then are prepared for shipment as a solid used oil fuel that is consumed for its BTU value for the generation of electricity. Non-fuels and Non-metals such as ash and non recyclables are properly prepared and shipped to an approved non-hazardous solid waste disposal facility.
The steel filters are then crushed and compacted at high pressure to remove the used oil, which will be pre processed on-site and transferred by rail or truck to one of our three used oil refining facilities operated by our parent company, Vertex Energy Inc. (Ticker: VTNR). The compacted steel then goes through a proprietary thermal desorption unit to remove any additional oil from the steel while recovering heat from the oil pretreatment process and reusing recovered water from the liquid removal stage to quench the hot steel coming out of the process. The purified steel is then shipped to local steel mills as premium feedstock for the metal products they produce.

Nickco Recycling is located in Pittsburg Texas, just northeast of Dallas. The strategic placement of this operation allows us to service customers across the gulf coast throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Through our sister company, H&H Oil, we are able to collect and process a high volume of used filters and absorbent materials throughout the region.
